We celebrate and treasure our children’s growth in trust and obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ and we seek to encourage their value and talents in our community, country, and world! With God’s Favor guiding caring leaders who invest time, love and wisdom into shaping children’s lives for Kingdom Work, we are excited about the many opportunities for service. Come join us!
Children’s Programs:
9:30 AM – Sunday School
There is a class for every age at Kids Cross Country! Come join us at 9:30 am for a fun time of learning.
10:50 AM – Children's Church
About ten minutes into the morning worship service, children up to the second grade are dismissed for children’s church. Children go to the gym for a time of fun and learning using multimedia and activities designed just for them. This gives our children an atmosphere they can get the most out of and gives parents the freedom to worship in “big church”.
Wednesday continues to be a blessing through our AWANA program beginning at 6:15 pm and ending at 8:00 pm (August through April).
6:15 PM – AWANA
AWANA stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed which comes from 2 Timothy 2:15 which reads:
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.” (HCSB)
AWANA emphasizes memorizing and understanding key Bible verses that teach children how to know and follow God. A series of awards reward their achievements at every level. AWANA clubbers look forward to the opportunities each week to share their studies and knowledge of God’s Word in Handbook Time. And, no matter their athletic ability, kids have a blast while learning teamwork in Game Time. Council Time offers powerful devotions and inspiration from adult volunteers. Field trips are also a special treat for clubbers to enjoy a variety of fun activities and fellowship together. There is a class for every age group in AWANA. Great thanks go to our AWANA classroom, game time, and club leadership!
During summertime (May through August), an alternating program of Northside KiDS will meet on Wednesday nights.
6:30 PM – K.I.D.S. R.O.T.C.
(Kids Involved, Discovering, Sharing, Reaching Outside The Church) K.I.D.S. R.O.T.C. is an outreach program designed to empower our kids to share God’s Love in our community and society in many ways, by participating in mission action projects, passing out water and goodies, showing appreciation to our community leaders, or simply sharing a smile and “God Loves You!” with those they come in contact with! Thank you to our many adult volunteers who participate with our kids!
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a highlight of the summer for our kids! Each year presents a new, exciting setting to reinforce Biblical studies and stimulate spiritual growth through a rotation of activities including a powerful worship rally, age-appropriate class time, music, crafts, recreation, and missions impact.
Preteen Camp
Each summer, the children who have completed 3rd through 6th grades get to go to Preteen Camp.
